Raven

I’m watching 8mm on TV right now (muah, multi-timewasting), I love that movie.

Had a pretty nice day, Willie came over during his work break. It was a bit warmer today than it’s been lately, about 26°C, and it was pretty sunny, so Willie and I went up to our roof for a while. Heh, it was adorable, he became completely fascinated with this raven that likes to hang out up there. Our roof has a few antennas (antennas? antennae?) around the sides and the Raven flew over and perched on one for a while. I guess Willie was surprised how truly glossy and beautiful they are close up so after just watching for a bit he tried to get a bit closer. The raven just kind of looked at us until he was within a couple of meters and then stretched out it’s wings, took off and flew the very short distance to the next antenna. Willie changed direction, kept walking, and the same thing happened again. I let the two keep going for a little while around the roof until I told Willie to leave the poor thing alone. It was extremely cute though, the raven almost seemed to be taunting him. It could’ve easily just flown to another building if it felt bothered but instead just kept leading him around in a circle.

Afterwards we got to make birds out of empty boxes, pipe cleaners and coloured feathers. My little sister had that set as a project for art class and apparently she, with my mom’s help, had managed to make some creatures that were vaguely reminiscent of vultures. Lol, when Willie and I got back in my mom called me over and said, “Um… Becca… We need a bit of help.” I had to laugh, she looked obviously unhappy at how they had turned out and slightly confused about why they just didn’t look like birds. I am glad to say that after all of us sitting down together with some scissors and glue we now have four lovely birds of paradise.

I only recently found out that my dad’s decided to leave his job here in HK and move to New Zealand in July, taking my step mom and their four kids along. Poor Gloria (my step mom), I have no idea how she’s going to cope there. He’s going over at the end of the month to buy a house (even though I swear we all ready have two there) and maybe a small farm. At this point I’ve run out of words to explain how I feel about the things he chooses to do, although to give you an idea I have a headache due to over-furrowed eyebrows.

Computer-wise, I’ve started on a new pixel art project, pixel furniture. I’ll get some examples up once I’ve created a few more pieces.

Oooh raven chase… they’ve always scared me… those big black birds right? Yeah they’re spooky… I wouldn’t call them cute, more like evil. Hehe next time you should make mini raven crafty things… and then you can sit them on the anntenna. Well looking forward to seeing the pixelated furniture! Something like this eh?

see now THAT’S a good relationship, between you and Willie… when you can do fun stuff like build animals out of pipe cleaners and still have a good time.

Maybe that raven is a sign for something to happen in the future, eh? I hardly get to see ravens here…I think they’re pretty cool, contrary to popular belief of them harbouring bad luck and all that. Sounds like it’s gonna be hard moving to New Zealand! I hope you get things figured out soon. Don’t want your eyebrows to be stuck that way forever!

I want to ask you if I can link you to my page … I seem to like coming here a lot …As for my webpage, yeah I change a lot, which is why I decided on using a linkware layout … Right now with designing hubbies site and my sisters, I really cannot afford to be messing around with my own … And the fact that my broadband is down, and I am on dialup for another week, it kills me …
