I should really learn the phonetic alphabet. I was trying to communicate an e-mail address through a long distance phone call earlier, and things went something like this:
Me: “G-M-A-I-L”
Friend: “D-M-”
Me: “Not D, G… G for God.”*silence*
Me: “That didn’t help. G for Goat?”
In other news, I’m up to my ears in Java (assignment due in 9 days) and it’s strangely enjoyable. Gets the left side of my brain high, it does.
I have never used Java but I have always thought I would like it. I definitely like the C style syntax. I have to use VB6 at work, but when coding for fun it is always PHP.
I am so design inept….
I normally try to think of something that begins with the letter and it always comes out as something highly inappropriate, like ‘B as in Bitch’ or ‘T as in Twat’. One of those moments where I should think before I speak. I’m pretty sure that if I attempted using java my brain would explode.
hahah thats funny! X_X
A few days back I had a discussion on phonetic alphabets with a friend who is in the army. They actually have to know all that. Both in English and Greek – it being the Greek army. So, how did that Java assignment go? First year in university I had to do so many Java assignments… Java is certainly more fun to drink (or even visit) than code in.
