Well, Mom and I managed to resist bringing home a new pet, but to console ourselves about that fact we brought back a new tank, turtle dock and cave for Waffle. It was a bit strange though, after setting it all up and putting him/her in, he (I think I’ll just refer to Waffle as a he until he’s old enough for me to determine his sex) jumped into the water, swam around and was obviously quite enjoying the larger space, then got out onto the dock and proceeded to do a big poop right in the middle of it. I couldn’t stop laughing at Mom’s reaction, “Bad turtle… Bad turtle!” I don’t know if it was territorial, excitement or what, but it sure was amusing.
What is it with men and winning? Heh, I admitted to Willie that when we play pool I often mess up on purpose so that he’ll win (because one-sided games are no fun) and he started bombarding me with questions. “When do you do it? How often do you do it? When’s the last time you did it?” Lol, he wanted the satisfaction of really beating me, so we went and played a few games and I let him win a couple to humour him.
Oh yes, and has anyone all ready gone to see King Arthur? Was it any good? Just want to know if it’s worth HK$60 and a couple hours of my time.
Hmm, on that subject, which movies have you watched where at the end you think, “That was a complete waste of two hours of my life.” Not many movies either irk or bore me that badly, but I remember that that was my exact thought after watching Tomb Raider. Heh, good thing it was just a VCD and I hadn’t payed to go see it at the cinema. Scary Movie 3 and the 1998 version of Psycho were also pretty bad.
Appetizer: If you were a color, which color would you be, and why?
I’d have to go for purple, a blend of calm blue and fiery red. Sounds a lot like me. Plus it also symbolises extravagance, dignity, independance and creativity. As far as extravagance goes, I like to think I’m not materialistic but I know that I really am and as for the last three, they’re all things that I strive to own.
Soup: When was the last time you went to the doctor, and what was your reason for going?
Haven’t had to go to the doctor’s in a couple of years, and that was only for a check up before I started on birth control pills.
Salad: What do you collect?
Not much right now. I used to collect anything to do with Eeyore, but I’ve run out of space in my room to keep everything (it grew to a rather massive collection)!
Main Course: What were you like in high school? Name one thing you miss and one thing you don’t miss about those days. (If you’re still there, imagine how you’ll remember it in the future.)
I went through three distinct phases in high school, the ‘teenybopper’ phase, the ‘depressed’ phase and the ‘rebel’ phase. I guess I miss my friends the most, I went to high school in three different countries and four different schools, and I regret losing touch with a lot of people that I met. I will never miss the last school’s ‘in crowd.’ Shallow, conceited and thoroughly disgusting people.
Dessert: Pretend you’re standing in front of your home, with your back towards your home. Describe the view – what can you see? Trees? Cars? A zoo? Wal-Mart?
One of Hong Kong’s top all boys schools.
