Men and Winning

Well, Mom and I managed to resist bringing home a new pet, but to console ourselves about that fact we brought back a new tank, turtle dock and cave for Waffle. It was a bit strange though, after setting it all up and putting him/her in, he (I think I’ll just refer to Waffle as a he until he’s old enough for me to determine his sex) jumped into the water, swam around and was obviously quite enjoying the larger space, then got out onto the dock and proceeded to do a big poop right in the middle of it. I couldn’t stop laughing at Mom’s reaction, “Bad turtle… Bad turtle!” I don’t know if it was territorial, excitement or what, but it sure was amusing.

What is it with men and winning? Heh, I admitted to Willie that when we play pool I often mess up on purpose so that he’ll win (because one-sided games are no fun) and he started bombarding me with questions. “When do you do it? How often do you do it? When’s the last time you did it?” Lol, he wanted the satisfaction of really beating me, so we went and played a few games and I let him win a couple to humour him.

Oh yes, and has anyone all ready gone to see King Arthur? Was it any good? Just want to know if it’s worth HK$60 and a couple hours of my time.

Hmm, on that subject, which movies have you watched where at the end you think, “That was a complete waste of two hours of my life.” Not many movies either irk or bore me that badly, but I remember that that was my exact thought after watching Tomb Raider. Heh, good thing it was just a VCD and I hadn’t payed to go see it at the cinema. Scary Movie 3 and the 1998 version of Psycho were also pretty bad.

And since the Furry Friday are in the process of moving, I thought I’d try Friday’s Feast this week.

Appetizer: If you were a color, which color would you be, and why?
I’d have to go for purple, a blend of calm blue and fiery red. Sounds a lot like me. Plus it also symbolises extravagance, dignity, independance and creativity. As far as extravagance goes, I like to think I’m not materialistic but I know that I really am and as for the last three, they’re all things that I strive to own.

Soup: When was the last time you went to the doctor, and what was your reason for going?
Haven’t had to go to the doctor’s in a couple of years, and that was only for a check up before I started on birth control pills.

Salad: What do you collect?
Not much right now. I used to collect anything to do with Eeyore, but I’ve run out of space in my room to keep everything (it grew to a rather massive collection)!

Main Course: What were you like in high school? Name one thing you miss and one thing you don’t miss about those days. (If you’re still there, imagine how you’ll remember it in the future.)
I went through three distinct phases in high school, the ‘teenybopper’ phase, the ‘depressed’ phase and the ‘rebel’ phase. I guess I miss my friends the most, I went to high school in three different countries and four different schools, and I regret losing touch with a lot of people that I met. I will never miss the last school’s ‘in crowd.’ Shallow, conceited and thoroughly disgusting people.

Dessert: Pretend you’re standing in front of your home, with your back towards your home. Describe the view – what can you see? Trees? Cars? A zoo? Wal-Mart?
One of Hong Kong’s top all boys schools.

The old black and white version of Psycho with Tony Perkins is so good. I’ve been wanting to see the 98 version, but after hearing (reading) you saying it was bad, maybe I don’t want to spend the four bucks to rent it. I went to the doctor today about an infection, and she perscribed some antibiotics. I’d be maroon, because if you take bright, fiery red, add a little sky blue and some purple, you’ve got maroon. That’s me!

I went to the Puppy store to look around because I was planning on buying my best a friend a puppy for her birthday. Thing is, I ended up adopting a puppy for myself… but luckily my other friend whacked me over my head and I couldn’t take the puppy home. Although it was just so, so, so, so sweet and so darling.Honestly, I do not see what the big fuss is about. King Arthur looks pretty cliche and unoriginal if you ask me. Not to mention the uneccessary sex scenes. Keria Nightly does look like Natalie Portman I’ve taken notice though.Hmm, two hours wasted of my life… Alex and Emma was a dumb movie. Moonlight Mile was I would say the worst movie I’ve seen. Oh that one movie by Maraih Carey, now taht was a waste of an hour. It was so terrible I didn’t even finish watching it. Not to mention Crossroads which was equally as pointless.

I just finished watching a movie, ‘The Ring.’ Not as scary as they said, I like it though.

LMAO. Who says turtles have no personality? Waffle seems like one funny dude.Urk. Please don’t go wasting your money to go see King Arthur. The reviews are bad, and my boyfriend saw it and said it was absolutely horrible (which was what I already knew from the trailers).Terrible wastes of time? Hmm…I have to say I hated “Tomb Raider” as well. That was just horrible. I disliked “Troy” too – it was just incurrate as far as following the Greek myths and ergh… “Varsity Blues” was another horrible movie for me…I couldn’t even finish it; it was that bad.

Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a turtle poop before. Strange.A movie that I considered an extreme waste of time – “Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life.” Really, why did I sit through that?

i never had a pet turtle before but a friend of mine once had plenty. she had to get rid of them cause her mom said they were bad luck. Anyway, i’ve been planning to watch King Arthur too. The producerdirector’s the same as the one as with Pirates of the Carribean so it must be good

imo men in today’s world need to feel manly, and as hunting wild game is out of the question. they prove their prowess through video games, huge cars, pool games etc etc . As for crappy movies I have to say How to lose a guy in 10 days ranks pretty high. I love Kate Hudson, but ughh….she was too much. I couldn’t even get to the second half! In fact I’ve never seen the ending despite starting to watch it at least 3 times.

Total waste of time…King Arthur WAS pretty bad, I turned it off about 15 minutes in because it was jsut some stupid fight scene (Yeah, the same one that came out in theaters) And Confession of a Teenage Drama Queen I never could finish. 13 going on 30 had it boring parts….Shrek 2 was good, though!Aww~! I LOVe Turtles!! And Waffle is such a cute name! We have amusing stories about our lizards pooping…

Hahaha that’s soo funny about the turtle poo situation. But I am pretty sure turtle poo isn’t soo bad to clean… it’s better than cleaning cat and dog poop My sister watched King Arthur with a friend, and enjoyed it… but her “chick click movies” friend wasn’t soo happy. I heard the beginning was a bit draggy, than the movie picks up. Scary Movie 3 was pretty boring. The first 2 were hilarious, but the 3rd one didn’t do justice.

awww, Waffle sounds so cute! Animals can be so amusing, you should see what my beagle does sometimes… she cracks me up, lmao.Waste of time movies? Mmm, let’s see… I don’t remember the title, but I thought that movie with Johnny Depp, Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek was pretty bad, you know, the one set in Mexico. Then I wouldn’t know, althought I’ve seen a lot of bad movies Lovely site, I’ll come back often!

Waffle sounds adorable. I’ve never had the pleasure of owning a turtle. I’m more a rat person. Lol. Guys are very competitive and they tend to sulk when knowing that you let them win. My boyfriend is exactly the same. Later!

I don’t think King Arthur’s out in Australia yet, but it does have whoever played Spike in Buffy and Angel in it, if that makes any difference lol. Personallly, I don’t have much interest in that kind of movie – at least not enough to go see it at the cinema. Lol, at your turtle. Very cute, too.

I heard that King Arthur isn’t all that great. Apparently it has toned down violence so that children can watch it with over used special effects. I don’t really know… I’m still going to see it with my friends though .
