Will had an ebook he wanted to read on the PSP I’d bought him for his birthday. Having no idea how to read .lit files on it, I used ConvertLIT GUI to convert the book into an HTML file.
Since it was a massive and rather unreadable file, I split it up for him into chapters, styled the pages, and added a nice little nav bar.
It was the first time he’d seen anyone messing with code. It’s pretty easy for me to forget that it’s not something the majority of the world does and enjoys.
His response?
“Wow… Now I have so much respect for you and what you do.”
It’s nice to be appreciated.
Wow. He should give you some kind of award for being an awesome girlfriend! ;p
Lol, I agree with Elea. He should give you an award
WOW! your so good, and you have a nice Blog here.
… Especially by somebody whose opinion you care the most
It’s nice to be appreciated… and it’s also pretty easy when you know how to do.
Huh, I didn’t get that until my mom needed her own website! And she never put it that way at all, it’s just “hey, I need this done… hey, can you do this?”That’s cool though
I totally think you deserved his praises. Not everybody has the patience to reformat an entire ebook then revamp it, to boot!
you have a lot of patience girl! and yes, it’s really nice to be appreciated a simple “thank you” is enough.
Lol I think coding is some sort of super power now!
We,, you truly deserve it for doing such things! That was truly great. May we see a screenshot?
Pelf: My thoughts exactly. Elea: Haha, actually I was thinking it should be the other way around! But now that you mention it, a little medal or something would be nice…
If my wife would have done that for me I would completely flipped! I also would have done a lot more than say that… but I can’t blame him too much… he is a GUY. I am quite impressed with your work though (what I’ve seen so far). I just loaded up 13 (WP Theme) and… you know there are enough “good looking” themes out there, but you added an extra tab for customization, AND the theme works flawlessly! Unbelievable! I thought ONE SERIOUS pro must have made that thing… and you’re an young IT student, not to mention… nah, I won’t say it.KUDOS… I’d send you a medal if I could!
T*hats great. A friend of mine came to me asking me about how he wants to put an e-commerce website together, and he was going to do it himself, if i told him how to. When i explained to him the ins and outs of putting one together not to mention everything else. He soon realised that it would have been a mamouth, if not impossible task for him to do it himself. To say, he didn’t know any CSS. He was going to attempt to do it all in raw HTML. He too appreciated that.
