Well I just finished watching Batman Begins, and it must have been the first time in years that I didn’t exit the cinema criticising someone’s acting abilities. In short, I thought it was a terrific movie. The villains were menacing, the city haunting, and the hero believably human.
It tells the story of how Bruce Wayne evolved to be more than just a man. The brilliant cast somehow pulls off making a man who runs around dressed like a bat seem plausible. Gotham City was beautiful, in that rotting, crime-infested sort of way.
I gotta get me one of those cars.
I saw it and I TOTALLY agree with you. I’m not big on comic book type movies, but this was great and you’re right – the acting was superb and they managed to take a well known tried and true story seem totally fresh and new.
Batmobile! YESS!
Looks like I’ll be planning a trip to the theater sometime soon this summer…!
I loved “Batman Begins” as well. After watching the movie, Chris and I spent an hour just talking about all the parts we enjoyed. And I think you mean “tank”.
Ooh. That is definitely a must-see movie for me.
Argh, yet another movie I am missing out on. One of my friends asked me out for that movie last week but I was busy working.
I have yet to see that one, but I am looking forward to it. I have heard such good things about it, so I am quite excited.By the way, I hope your happy because… I BLOGGED.And I hope that seems in someway funny, cause it did in my head, and if it turns out that ‘in my head’ is the only place my jokes are funny, then… I’d cry a small pond.
Agreed! The car was just wicked! I want one too!
batman begins is actually better than i thought. they gave batman the “depth” the other batman movies didn’t have. it’s a whole new story for a hero who doesn’t have any superpowers.
I totally said something similar to my friend, when her and I went and saw the film. I haven’t been that impressed with a movie, of that genre, in quite some time. I’m not huge Batman fan, but…. very well directed, casted and written.
I love Christian Bale so I need to get my patutie out there to see it! Glad you liked it
i don’t like the top of the design but otherwise it looks pretty good. I’ve been visiting your blog for a while now. You make lovely layouts.
Wow.. yay! I want to see this movie so bad… thanks for the info on it!
oops.sorry.delete that comment please. I commented in the wrong window.
It was a great moive, but I wish they had cast a different actress as Rachel Dawes. Not that Katie Holmes did a bad job, I just didn’t feel like she fit the part.
It’s the only Batman film that I’ve really enjoyed, in fact I’ve seen it twice. It was dark, moody, and gritty. Much better than the other fluffy Batman films.
