Star Trek to Return
‘Star Trek’ to Return with ‘Mission Impossible: 3′ Director at Helm: Hurrah! According to some sites it’ll focus on Kirk and Spock’s first mission. The next series though (whenever that happens) should so go further into the future. I’d love to see something reminiscent of Asimov’s Foundation novel, with the Federation seemingly at it’s peak but clearly in decay to those who are astute enough to see it. Unlike the Empire though, the Federation will not fall but be restored. (Note: I haven’t read Asimov’s Empire series, so I don’t know anything about it from that time.)
Mmm, Cow
Vicki and I were having a text conversation while Willie and I were chowing down a late lunch. She said that she’d had a Caesar salad for lunch, and Willie and I agreed that a salad did not constitute a meal. Vicki informed us that it had large pieces of chicken in it, but that didn’t change Willie’s opinion. Her response? “Willie’s a boy – they’re not full ’til they’ve eaten a whole cow.”
Everything is All Right
I am Unusual
My Vicki is back in HK again for a week. We went to go donate blood today (would have been the first time for both of us) but I was unfortunately unsuitable. She is unsuitable in Melbourne since she was in the UK in ‘99 (there the BSE-beware period is from 1980-2000, here it’s only until ‘96) but is perfectly acceptable here.
I am apparently unsuitable since I fainted recently, although to quote the nurse, I am “unusual”. (That’s really what she told me!) Apparently I should go back in five years as long as I don’t faint again. Bah, I bet Melbourne would accept me. It was quite nice to see such a steady inflow of people looking to donate though, never realised it was such a common activity here.
In other news, I have a massive hole in my wall now since the pipes were leaking and the only way to get to them was through my bedroom. Now all the roaches that lived in there have come out and started partying. No amount of cardboard and duct tape can keep them away! Have no fear though, I am armed with bug spray and a 1 1/2 metre long stick.

WordPress Theme: Remember
Due to popular request, my old purple turtle theme has been revamped and released. The sea turtle had to go as it was a stock photo, so I replaced it with some of my gold guppies (there’s an option to get rid of them if you’re not a fish fan).
“Remember” is released under the GPL and Widgets are supported. The theme admin menu is powered by WordPress Theme Toolkit. Bandwidth for downloads is siphoned from Weblogs.us.
I’m pretty open to the idea of adding additional header images and/or colour options, the design was so much fun to make in the first place. Feel free to leave suggestions if that’s something you’d like to see, and let me know if I messed up anywhere.
WWII Explosives Found in Hong Kong
WWII Explosives Found in Hong Kong and only a couple minutes walk from where Willie works! We’d planned to meet during his afternoon break and he called to say he’d be late due to “the bomb squad running around”. They detonated any unstable explosives earlier in the evening. Definitely something you don’t usually expect to find under a road!

Costumes Are Fun
I told my boyfriend he should dress up as V since the outfit’s surprisingly sexy. He asked me if a Darth Vader costume would be close enough.
